Western Illinois Volleyball: New Fan Policy Implemented for Volleyball Home Matches

Share

MACOMB, Ill. – Days ahead of its second home series, Western Illinois volleyball has good news to deliver. Families of the student-athletes will now have the opportunity to attend home matches in Western Hall, the university announced on Wednesday (Feb. 24).

This new attendance policy officially begins on Sunday (Feb. 28), as the Leathernecks start a home series versus Omaha that afternoon at 1 p.m. In compliance with state and local guidelines, there will be a 50-person limit in Western Hall. However, visiting fans of opposing teams are not permitted, and a WIU player pass list will allow access into the arena.

Doors will open 45 minutes prior to each match, and fans are asked to enter through the east arena door adjacent to the Q-Lot parking lot. Fans will be required to wear face coverings at all times. Fans will also have their temperatures taken upon arrival, with socially-distanced seating being enforced. There is no admissions charge for home matches.
