Artist Selected in BCA’s Artist in Residency will Work to Create a Public Art Mural on North Side of Tin Cup

Share

Applications for the Artist in Residency program at the Buchanan Center for the Arts are still being accepted. Executive Director Kristyne Gilbert shares the artist selected will be working with Tin Cup Owners Mike and Janice Shied to create a mural:

“If you are familiar with the North side of the building that Tin Cup is in, it is a blank canvas. We have an artist residency this summer that we are putting together and are hoping to start another really wonderful public art mural and have that finished this summer. Janice and Mike have some ideas of what they would like to see on building and so the artist will be working with them to create what they see is their vision with the artist interpretation. It should be quite fun and of course once again working with the community to make that happen.”

The deadline to submit an application for the Artist in Residency program is 5 pm Thursday, April 1st.
