The Buchanan Center for the Arts is in the midst of a gallery remodel, which is part of Phase 3 in renovating the BCA. Executive Director Kristyne Gilbert states the upgrades have been made possible from a gift from the Pattee Foundation:
“When I originally came on, the board that I had interviewed with and met with had been given a gift from the Pattee Foundation to work on improving the structure and just renovating the building as a whole. This is Phase 3. We had two phases when I first came on to work on really things that the public doesn’t necessarily see, like the structure, water proofing the basement, and then Phase 2 was the façade. Of course, now this is Phase 3, which is updating the inside and making sure that we are putting our best foot forward. We are very grateful to them, as well as, other gifts from memberships and individuals who have made this next phase possible.”
Gilbert anticipates the gallery updates to be completed in May with a reception to be held in June.
