Burlington Man Arrested for Home Invasion in Oquawka

Henderson County Deputies arrest a Burlington, IA man for Home Invasion, Residential Burglary, and Aggravated Battery to a Senior Citizen. Sheriff Donald E. Seitz releases that on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021 at 1:20pm, Deputies arrested Alexander S. Sesher age: 26 of Burlington, IA in Oquawka, IL. It is alleged Sesher entered a residence in Oquawka with intent to steal money. While inside he battered the senior citizen resident. The resident and Sesher did know each other. Sesher was arrested leaving the residence a block away. Sesher was transported to the Henderson County Jail and his vehicle is subject to seizure. Home Invasion is a Class X Felony, carrying 6 to 30 years in the Department of Corrections. Residential Burglary is a Class 1 Felony, carrying 4 to 14 years. Aggravated Battery to a Senior Citizen is a Class 2 Felony, carrying 3 to 7 years. Sesher is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
