Get Prepared for the Spring and Summer Storm Season

Share

With the spring and summer storm season quickly approaching, Ameren Illinois says it’s a good idea to restock or create a home emergency kit. Here’s Ameren spokesperson Nikki Taylor.

“Ameren Illinois recommends you have an emergency kit containing essential items, such as a sleeping bag or blanket to keep you warm, first aid kit containing Band-Aids and medication, water, and nonperishable foods, a battery operated light source, such as flashlights and lanterns.”

Taylor says it’s also important to remind every family member where the emergency preparedness kit is located.

Ameren says this weekend is a good time to stock up your home emergency kit while moving your clocks forward one hour for Daylight Saving Time.
