Monmouth Chamber Director David Wise Rebrands Monmouth on the Move Luncheons

Unlike last year, events are being put on the calendar this year, at least tentatively. On April 1st at the Patton Block Grill and Brew Pub, the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce will kick off their monthly Food for Thought Luncheons, formerly known as Monmouth on the Move, says Executive Director David Wise:

“The Monmouth on the Move Luncheon has traditionally taken place. I have rebranded that into a Food for Thought Luncheon, which will be held on a nontraditional day, it will be held on a Tuesday. It is kind of a democratized luncheon. You can still sponsor the luncheon and the main person who sponsors the luncheon will be the business of the month the next month and they will have 30 minutes to present whatever they would like on their business or bring in a guest speaker. The biggest change is there will be three five minute presentations and the participants at the luncheon will vote for their best presentation. Then they will get a little award and gift certificate or something. I’m just trying to make it a little more engaging.”

The Chamber is also working on setting two dates for golf outings this May and July with one to be held at Gibson Woods and the other at the Monmouth Country Club.
