After having to take a year off due to the pandemic, the Monmouth College Fighting Scots golf outing will be back this summer. Scheduled for Friday, June 25th, Athletics and Corporate Relations Development Officer Michael Blaesing states the event will be very similar to years past:
“For those that have played before or just know about it, it will look very similar. There will be a few differences. One is that we are going to have it in the afternoon with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Check in will be at noon. It will be at Gibson Woods golf course here in Monmouth. Afterwards, which for our golf outing it’s typically about a four to four and a half hour round and so we are moving that dinner. Traditionally we have had the dinner at the course under a tent, but we will be moving it across the highway to the American Legion where we will have dinner and the award all of our team [prizes and individual prizes.”
All proceeds will benefit the Fighting Scots Society, which provides the coaches and student athletes with resources they may need throughout the year. Registration for the golf outing begins April 5th.
