Pritzker Says “Limits” Should Come to Assault Rifles

Share

A pair of mass shooting this month has renewed the focus on increased gun regulations in the United States and in Illinois. Governor JB Pritzker was recently asked if more gun controls laws are needed in Illinois. He says limits should come to “assault” weapons.

“We ought to limit assault weapons. We have to define them properly and then limit the ones, particularly ones that are repeating, you know, where you have bullets that are firing multiples of them in milli-seconds within a second. Those are things that we’ve got to do away with. Those are for no other use than killing masses of people.”

As of now there isn’t much on the immediate horizon when it comes to gun control legislation at the state house.
