Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Drug Arrest in Henderson County

Henderson County Sheriff Don Seitz reports on 03/12/2021 at 9:44PM, a Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputy on routine patrol conducted a traffic stop on Township Road 2560N at Township Road 1500E in the Oquawka Township, leading to a felony drug arrest.

The traffic stop led to the arrest of Michael A. Abbott of Oquawka, IL, age: 31. Abbott was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. A subsequent search of the vehicle discovered methamphetamine and a hypodermic syringe.  

Abbott was transported to the Henderson County Jail.  A Judge later set Abbott’s bond at $6,000, 10 % to apply.

A passenger in the vehicle, Tawnee M. Cree of Keithsburg, IL, age: 36 was arrested on a Mercer County Felony Warrant for Obstructing Justice and Destroying Evidence. Cree was also transported to the Henderson County Jail and later posted bond on the warrant.

Also arrested was Nick A. Weber of Keithsburg, IL, age: 35 on a Mercer County Felony Warrant for Obstructing Justice and Destroying Evidence. Weber was also transported to the Henderson County Jail and later posted bond on the warrant.

ALL SUBJECTS ARE CONSIDERED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
