The Warren County History Museum will open for the season on May 15th, Tuesdays through Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm. Pattee Executive Director Dr. Alana Newman shares they are busy working on a new ‘Plants of the Prairie’ exhibit:

“We have a huge collection of clothing that I am super excited about. My plan is to have a clothing exhibit in the winter, but right now I am working on and my interns are working on ‘Plants of the Prairie,’ which is an outdoor exhibit that will be opening in June this summer. I have learned so much about the native plants of the area, which is really exciting because I am from Virginia, Northern Virginia, which is a swamp. So right now we are constructing raised beds and getting seedlings started.”

Dr. Newman also reported a volunteer day will be held on May 16th for anyone to come help plant the native plants for the exhibit.
