Busy Schedule Ahead for the Warren Henderson Farm Bureau

Warren Henderson Farm Bureau announces registration is now open for the Summer Ag Institutes on June 8th and June 9th. The cost is $10 a day and includes trips to a Quad City dairy farm and Wildlife Prairie Park. Area educators who want to learn about various Ag topics or earn professional development credits are invited to sign up. Manager Gina Long shares another upcoming opportunity for local students:

“The 2021 IL Live Stock Leadership Institute, formally known as the IL Pork Leadership institute, the Pork and Beef Association and Midwest Dairy are offering this 4 day trip from June 28th-July 1st. The Institute is open to 16 to 20 year old’s who are interested in the livestock industry and the institute will be hosted in Des Moines.” 

Look forward to upcoming fundraisers this summer hosted by the Farm Bureau. A drive through steak dinner is planned for June 23rd to be held at the Henderson County Fairgrounds in Stronghurst and a golf outing at Gibson Woods will be held on August 20th.
