Frank J. Vazzano, 74, passed away after a 4-year battle with cancer and he wasn’t happy about it.

Frank was born and raised in Chicago, to Leonard and Dorothy (Panos) Vazzano.  He is survived by two sons, John (Kim) Vazzano of Florida and Anthony Vazzano of Colorado.  Frank is also survived by his significant other, Kelly Sutherland and her four children, Amanda (Scott) Moore of Springfield, Adam (Jill) Sutherland of Iowa City, IA, Angela (Mike) Agan of Elmwood, and Austin (Savannah) Sutherland of Bay City, TX; his best friend Curt (Kim) Linderman of Missouri; a cousin, Teresa; twelve grandchildren; and one great grandson.

Frank being of the Italian, Dago, Greek, and Sicilian descent, wanted to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and became a carpenter.  He continued as a road manager for the Buckinghams.  He was an avid painter and was an excellent chef.  He loved to feed everyone.  He was a hard-core Budweiser, Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

Being the wonderful and giving man he was, he chose to donate his body to science.  No services will be held.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to Kelly Sutherland to help offset expenses.  Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com
