Linda J. Barker, 72, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 8:23 am, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her home.
Linda was born May 22, 1948 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Cecil Mac and Elizabeth “Libby” Jane (Ludington) Albert. She was raised and educated in Cameron and Monmouth.
She enjoyed diamond painting, reading her bible, adult coloring books, watching wrestling, and playing cards. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Sandra (Robertson) Barker of Monmouth, IL, Deneil (Bill) Inman of Monmouth, IL, Ellen Robertson of Prophetstown, IL; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; her siblings, Terry (Donna) Albert of Rock Island, IL, Dwayne (Angie) Albert of Cumberland, MD, Thomas (Christina) Albert of Baton Rouge, LA, Jim (Donna) Albert of Monmouth, IL, John (Sherry) Albert of Lebanon, MO, Steve Albert of Monmouth, IL, Debbie (Kenny Fye) Teel of Monmouth, IL, Diane (Randy) Brown of Monmouth, IL, Judy (Kenneth-Passedon) Richardson of Monmouth, IL, Pat (Don) Kindhart of Good Hope, IL; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Jaqueline H. Self-Hanley and one brother, Marshall W. Albert, one sister, Barbara E. Johnson, and two great granddaughters.
A Celebration of Life will be from 12:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Monmouth V.F.W. Hall. Cremation has been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Linda Barker Memorial Fund, C/O McGuire & Davies Funeral Home, PO Box 444, Monmouth, IL 61462.
