Our First High School Baseball Broadcast Since 2019 Features United and West Central

Share

We have our first “normal” spring sports high school broadcast on the PCSN later this afternoon. We’ll be at United High School for a Lincoln Trail Conference match up between the host Red Storm and the West Central Heat.

Coming off a (19-9) regional final appearance in 2019, the Red Storm were expecting big things coming into 2020, but covid put a stop to all that. United brings back some guys this year that were a big part of the success in 2019. Red Storm head coach Ryan Molek is certainly disappointed that his ball club didn’t get a chance to make a deep run in 20202, but is very excited about what his 2021 team can achieve.

The West Central Heat have a new man in charge of their baseball program. Quinn Leath has been the guy in charge of the Heat program for the past six years. With Leath resigning this past fall, Cody Eaton was tabbed to take over the program. Eaton is a 2004 graduate of Union High School and was on Leath’s coaching staff last spring before the season was shut down.

You can hear tonight’s game on AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM and online at radiomonmouth.com with the pregame show starting at 4:10, first pitch is scheduled for 4:30. It will be senior day for the Red Storm baseball team.
