Mr. Rolland R. “Rollie” Hannam, 73, of Galesburg, Illinois died 5:28 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa with his family by his side. 

He was born in Canton, Illinois, December 12, 1947 the son of Dale and Marie (England) Hannam.  He graduated from Galesburg High School and Bradley University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. 

He was co-owner of Wilson-Hannam Realtors for 30 years.  He owned and operated Hannams Auction Service and Hannams Auction Center for 55 years.  He played traditional country music for over 40 years.  He, along with Bill Reeves, owned the Midstate Opry Show, with appearances throughout the state. 

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Galesburg.  He was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honorary society, the Illinois State and National Auctioneers Association and past member of the Galesburg and Illinois State Board of Realtors and the Galesburg Exchange Club. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Jennifer.  He is survived by his wife, Judy, with whom he built a life that would span 36 years, 26 of them in marriage, his son, Jeff (and Kelly) Hannam, grandchildren, Landon, Emerson, and Grayson Hannam of Alexis, Illinois and son, Brad (and Ami) Hannam, grandchildren, Alexander and Olivia of Naperville, Illinois, stepdaughter, Vicki Sallo of Florida, and step-grandchildren, Justin Sallo of Cambridge, Illinois and Spring Sallo of Florida.  Also surviving is a sister, Carol (and Dennis) Uhlmann of Galesburg and niece, Deanna (and Jeff) Wauer of Columbus, Indiana and his beloved dog, Buffy. 

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel.  Due to guidelines associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facemasks will be required.  Private funeral service will be Friday, April 16, 2021 at the chapel with Rev. Vince Rohn officiating.  Those wishing to attend the funeral “virtually” may watch the live broadcast at 10:00 a.m., Friday on the funeral home’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Hinchliff-Pearson-West-Funeral-Directors-and-Cremation-Services-160333664037824 .  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
