The State Election Code was updated late Friday to permit the use of drop-boxes, again, for mail-in voters.

Beginning Monday, April 5th, at 8:00 am, the secure ballot drop-box located on the City Hall front sidewalk at 55 W. Tompkins Street will be available for mail-in voters to submit their completed Ballot Return Envelope. If submitted in the drop-box for the 2021 Consolidated Election, ballots must be received prior to the polls closing at 7:00 PM on Election Day, April 6th.

The legislation is Public Act 102-0001.
