Take Advantage of the Available Programs at Strom Center

The doors at the Monmouth Strom Center are back open to everyone, with social distancing guidelines being followed. Over the past year, Director Carol McCrery stated that with everything that was going on, many people overlooked programs that could be enrolled in, including low income subsidy programs that assist with Medicare Part D. For those interested in this program, McCrery states there is still time to qualify:

“To be eligible for extra help and this again is in varying degrees so you may be eligible for full extra help or partial extra help, but if you have an income of under $1,115 a month, then please come in and see us. Now, for that amount you will probably be on partial extra help, but the lower you go the more assistance you will receive on that program. If you are a couple and you have $2,175 in income, then that couple easily may be under that limit. If you are under $1,400 and you are a couple, you will get a very good deal, but again if you are under $2,175 please come in and see us.”

Director McCrery says there are other resource guidelines, if you are single and your assets are under $14,600 you can qualify and if you are couple with assets under $29,160, you will also qualify. For more information on enrolling, contact Strom Center at 734-5677.
