United Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt Anticipates $1 Million in Third Round of Relief Funds

The United School Board approved bids for a new HVAC system and resurfacing of the track at the High School. Superintendent Jeff Whitsitt shares this report:

“Our SR-2 money, the second round of relief money we are getting is about $516,000 in the second round and we do not have to have it spent until the fall of 2023.   

A third round of relief funds are expected to total over $1 million that will support upcoming district projects. In United School Board news, a new board has not been seated yet as we await canvasing ballots in the consolidated election. April 22nd is the anticipated results five people ran for four seats. They include Henry “Hank” Shimmin, Jill Jenks, Amelia Tierney, Daniel Toops, and Daniel Ott.
