VanFleet officially declared winner for 4th Ward Alderman

It’s been two weeks since the Consolidated Election in the City of Monmouth and all votes have now been counted and have become official. Warren County Clerk and Recorder Tina Conard canvassed the votes this morning that included all of the mail in ballots. John VanVleet has been elected as the new 4th Ward Alderman. VanVleet had 111 votes, Kevin Ferry received 106 votes, and Chad Braatz had 60 votes.

Incumbent Mayor Rod Davies defeated Justin Lipes 827 to 714, and incumbent City Clerk Susan Trevor defeated Nicole Trego 892 to 596. 1st Ward Alderman Justin Thomas was re-elected as he defeated Court Hopkins 325 to 151.
One race did end in a tie. For Roseville Township Highway Commissioner, Roy Corky Shaw and Jim Anderson each received 94 votes and Sam Adkisson had 30 votes. County Clerk Conard has drawn a name at the county courthouse to break the tie between Shaw and Anderson. Roy Corky Shaw won the name draw out of the hat and has defeated incumbent Road Commissioner Jim Anderson.
