WCHD Administrator Link Says 16 and 17 Year Olds to be Vaccinated with Next Round of Pfizer

The week of April 12th, the Warren County Health Department is projected to receive 200 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. With the approval of Pfizer being approved for 16 and up, Administrator Jenna Link informs they are in the process of setting up clinics at the local schools if the projection holds:

“We have decided we are going to hold clinics with the schools for 16 and 17 year olds with that Pfizer, so those plans are currently in the works for doing clinics at the schools with that vaccine. The Pfizer is hard to find and so you are traveling far to get it if you are going to one of the mass vaccination sites. So a lot of people are traveling down to Quincy to get Johnson and Johnson or the Pfizer for their child that is 16 or 17 years old. It will be nice if the projection holds and we truly get it because we never really know until about the week before, that is what we plan to do is to hold clinics at the schools for the 16 and 17 year olds.”

Link shared 18% have been fully vaccinated in Warren County thus far.
