Over the past few months, the Taste of Galesburg Committee has continued to monitor COVID-19 in our state as well as attempting to anticipate the necessary precautions and guidelines that might have to be followed by the July event. Given the uncertainty of where we will be for the July event and the extreme stress that our business sponsors and restaurant partners continue to endure our committee has made the tough decision to err on the side of caution once again and cancel our normal, one day Taste of Galesburg event for 2021.
Although we will not be able to have the Taste of Galesburg experience in a traditional manner in 2021, we do intend to once again promote a Taste of Galesburg TO GO experience July 18th through July 22nd. Once the next month our committee will be working with local Galesburg Area Hospitality Association member businesses to compile a list of menu items that will be showcased for this year’s event. We are fortunate to be in a community providing a vast array of food selections sure to tempt anyone’s taste buds.
We look forward to providing the alternate event in 2021. We hope the community will once again support our local establishments for this event and beyond!
