Double Header of College/HS Baseball on AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM on Thursday

We’ll have Monmouth College baseball on the Prairie Communications Sports Network on Thursday afternoon. The Scots take on their bitter Midwest Conference rivals, Knox College, for an important double header at Glasgow Field in Monmouth. The Scots are a game behind Illinois College in the loss column in the South Division standings. Only the North and South Division winners move on to the conference championship next Saturday. Normally, the top two teams move on but the coronavirus pandemic caused conference officials to shrink the qualifying teams from four to two.

Monmouth is (12-7) in conference play and will take on Knox four times, with double headers tomorrow and Saturday. Knox is just (1-17) in conference play this season. Should Monmouth win at least two of the four games, they will play Illinois College (15-8) in a makeup game in Jacksonville on Monday. The winner will move on to play for the title at the home of the North Division winner. That race has yet to be decided, as well. First and second place, Beloit College and the University of Chicago, play four times this weekend. Our Monmouth-Knox pregame show will hit the air at 11:40 on AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00. Shawn Temple and Michael Blaesing will bring that game to you.

Shortly following that game, we’ll have coverage of Monmouth-Roseville High School baseball from Sunny Lane Field in Monmouth. The Titans host the Illini West Chargers on AM 1330/FM 94.1 WRAM, with the pregame show starting at 4:15. Shawn will be joined by Scott Weber for that broadcast.

Both games can be heard online at radiomonmouth.com or on our free 1330 WRAM app for your smartphone or tablet.
