Emergency Assistance for Eligible Restaurants and Bars Impacted by COVID-19 Available Through the Small Business Administration

Under the American Rescue Plan Act, the Restaurant Revitalization Fund was established to provide assistance to restaurants and eligible businesses to keep their doors open. This program will provide restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic related revenue loss of up to $10 million per business. Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Pam Gaither encourages businesses to reach out to their local vendors for available options:

“Any restaurants out there, the scope of what it includes is pretty wide. The information is on the Small Business Administration (SBA) website, but it is a really great opportunity to grab some additional funding. If you have not and you are a restaurant or in the food or beverage industry, definitely reach out to your local vendor and see what your options are because there is additional funding out there.”
