Lincoln Trail Conference boys and girls track and field teams all met at Galva High School for the championship meet on Tuesday night. Due to rains, the meet was not able to be finished. Most field events will have to be completed on Friday night at Mercer County High School during the Fresh-Soph LTC Championship meet. The entire schedule of running events were able to be completed.

United High School’s Bridget Brokaw is the conference champ of the 800 meter run. She also placed 2nd in the 1600. Her teammate, Ellie Robinson crossed the finish line in 2nd place in the 100 meter hurdle event. West Central’s Sadie Lenz had a great meet, as well. She was 2nd in the 400 meter dash and 3rd in the 200 meter.

On the boys’ side, what a fantastic meet from West Central Heat sprinter, Kaiden Droste. Droste wins the 100 and 400 meter dashes and gets a 2nd place in the 200 meter. United’s top finisher was Zair Velasquez was 2nd in the grueling 3200 meter run.
