The new construction of the 10 unit Monmouth Airport hangar continues. Retired school teacher and author of ‘The Flying Field’ Jim Haynes shares the airport was established in the early 1920s:

Haynes, a member of the Monmouth Flying Club, says the club began in June of 1966 along with the annual fly-in breakfast, which was held every year until it had to be canceled last year due to the pandemic, but will be back this year. If anyone is interested in joining the Monmouth Flying Club, contact Brian Daw at 309-306-2176.
