Henderson County Sheriff, Donald E. Seitz releases, on Sunday, May 2nd, 2021 at 14:52hrs, Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident on IL Rt. 164, south of Lincoln St. in the Village of Oquawka, IL. Danny A. Garrett of Gorin, MO, age: 56, driving a 1986 Honda motorcycle was traveling south bound from Oquawka on IL Rt. 164 losing control of the motorcycle, hitting a guardrail and was ejected off of his motorcycle landing on the pavement.
Garrett had significant injuries and was airlifted to the University Hospital of Iowa City, IA, by MEDFORCE helicopter.
Assisting agencies were the Oquawka Ambulance Service, the Oquawka Fire Protection District and the Burlington Fire Department Ambulance.
