New EV Charging Stations will Soon be Available Along IL Interstates

Share

Motorists traveling Illinois interstates should soon have an easier time finding an electric vehicle charging station. The Illinois Department of Transportation is working to promote clean energy with this latest initiative says spokesperson Paul Wappel.

“IDOT is going to be putting out some new signs that will appear along interstate corridors so motorists will know where charging stations are located for electric vehicles. It should help them to be able to plan their trip a little bit.”

The blue signs will read “alternative fuels corridor.” Governor JB Pritzker’s goal is to have 750 thousand electric vehicles on the road by 2030.
