The University of Illinois is hosting an Agronomy Day Tour, and they are coming here to Monmouth! Dr. Chelsea Harbach with the University of Illinois Extension describes how the event will run:
“Usually Agronomy Day is a one-day event on campus where researchers from campus come out to talk about their research and how it applies to field crops. But this year we are actually doing an Agronomy Day Tour. Naturally one of those stops is going to be the Research Center in Monmouth. We have Dr. Aaron Hager there to talk about weeds, Dr. Nick Seiter is going to be there to talk about insects, I am going to talk about nematodes with Dr. Nate Schroeder, and we’ve got a handful of other speakers going to be there, including Dr. Gary Schnitkey.”
The event will take place August 12th at 9 a.m at the Research Center. If you want to register for the function, visit agronomyday.cropsciences.illinois.edu and click the link in the center of the page.
