Reservations for this year’s outdoor annual Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce dinner at Park Plaza are under way. Attendees will be capped at 250 and Executive Director Pam Gaither shares the categories of awards to be given:
“We do a rotation of the awards and this year we are awarding a Women in Business award, which is a local either a women owned business owner or woman leader in an organization. The other award that we will be giving out is a Small Business Excellence Award and that is for businesses with 25 or less employees. There are certain criteria, but as you would assume business excellence there is a few things that come into play with that. We are also giving, and this is an annual award, our Chamber Advocate of the Year. New this year, we have switched our 20 Under 40 recipients group to a 5 Under 40. What we are looking to do is really focus in on five individuals annually now instead of every three years.”
The annual dinner is scheduled for Thursday, July 1 beginning at 5:30 pm at the Park Plaza in Downtown Galesburg. For more information and to register, contact the Chamber at 309-343-1194.
