Health Insurance, Medicaid, and SNAP Assistance Available Locally with Eagle View Community Health System

Share

Medicaid and SNAP enrollment are open year round. Eagle View Community Health System Certified Application Counselor Nancy Kucharz can assist with both as well as enrolling in health insurance on Marketplace:

“A lot of times if someone is applying for Medicaid, we will check to see if they may qualify for SNAP benefits, the link card. If so, it is just easier to do it then because it is all on the same application. We assist them with that and again we have been very fortunate to have a really good working relationship with DHS. The other main part of my position is working with the Affordable Care Act as a Certified Application Counselor. Normally open enrollment with the Marketplace, healthcare.gov, Obamacare, is from November 1st to December 15th, but this year President Biden through his American Rescue Act, it was reopened. They call it a special enrollment, but really it is just another open enrollment from February 15th all the way to August 15th.”
