Knox College Sprinter Earns All-America in 100m and 200m at NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships

GREENSBORO, North Carolina – Derrick Jackson competed in the 100m and 200m finals at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Outdoor Championships on Friday afternoon.

Jackson finished fifth in the 100m with a time of :10.61. He came into the event with the best time in the nation. His best time of :10.45 was the 14th fastest in Division III history.

In his second race of the day, Jackson placed sixth in the 200m with a time of :21.47. He came into the event with the second best time in the nation and improved his own Knox record.

By finishing in the top-8 in both events, Jackson earned All-America status in both events.

“Derrick had a great season” said head coach Evander Wells. “He worked so hard and earned every bit of his accomplishments this season. I look forward to seeing how much more he can accomplish in the future.”
