Linda L. McVey, 60, of Quincy, Il formerly of Monmouth, IL passed away at 7:39 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

Linda was born October 15, 1960 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of James Andrew and Stella Mae (Cain) Stotler. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth High School.

Linda married Michael L. Huber in Kirkwood, Il in September 1978.  She later married Raymond Daniel McVey in Monmouth, IL on February 15, 1992 and passed away on March 10, 2008.

She was an independent contractor cleaning local offices and businesses for many years.

Linda volunteered for the Salvation Army and local foodbanks.  She was a member of a women’s dart league and enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors.  Her main joy in life was spending time with her family.

Surviving Linda are her children, Jennifer (Brian) Harwood of Waverly, OH, Jessica  (Kirsten) Hall of Marion, IA, Kelly Huber of West Burlington, IA, Shannon (Kris Eberle) McVey of Quincy, IL, and Joshua (Jordan Sorrill) McVey of Quincy, IL; 7 grandchildren, Alli, Nick, Ava, Adalynn, Aaliyah, Korbin and Miles;  her siblings, Hazel (John) Solis, Rosemary O’Daniel, Judy (Donny) Blakeley, Bonnie (Brian) Dixon, Susie (Dave) Eller, Jeanie Westby, John Henry (Sherry) Stotler, Charlie (Lisa) Stotler and Jack Stotler; her sister in law, Ruth Stotler; 69 nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Heidi Huber; her husband; brothers, Ike Stotler, Mitchell Stotler, Al Stotler and Victor Stotler; sister, Patty Ann Stotler; her longtime companion, Clifton Curtis; brother-in-law, William O’Daniel; niece, Kory O’Daniel; nephews, Zachary Dee and Christopher Sage

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 pm at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Cremation will take place following the visitation.  A private family interment will take place at Monmouth Cemetery at a later date.
