Mildred “Ramona” Calhoun, 76, of Galesburg, died peacefully Thursday June 3, 2021.

Ramona was born August 18, 1944 in Cullman, AL, the daughter of Grady and Naomi (Wallace) Calhoun. She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Chris) Simpson of Galesburg and her son Frank (Kathy) Gillispie of Michigan; one sister, Juanita Perry; and two brothers, Jim and Buddy Calhoun.  She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren; Daniel, Brittney, Carrie, Christine, Steven, Christopher, Tiffany, Tenille, and Sheena; and her 22 great grandchildren; Brittany, Nicolas, Genevieve, Caiden, Kaelyn, Ashton, Mylah Rae, Mason, Matthew, Noah, Malakai, Jordan, Ethan, Aneesa, Mark, Jadah, Adarion, Joslynn, Maria, Alex, Tyson, and Lexi. Her parents, along with one son; Scott Gillispie, and a granddaughter, MonaRae Slominski preceded her in death.

Ramona liked to spend time doing puzzles, sudoku, coloring in detailed coloring books and watching River Dancing. She loved spending time with her family and seeing her grandbabies. ‘Graham’ was so loving and caring, she was who everybody needed.

Cremation will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
