Monmouth College Holding Annual Track and Field/Cross Country Camp June 28-July 1

The Monmouth College Fighting Scots Track & Field and Cross Country camp will take place on the college campus from June 28th-July 1st. The camp is for boys and girls entering grades 7-12. The program features individualized instruction in each athlete’s area of interest. Athletes will get training tips and helpful information on event specific drills and technique. Also, analysis of your event which will help you fully understand the proper mechanics and techniques involved with your event. The program runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, June 28- July 1. The cost of the program is $45 per athlete. Come dressed in appropriate workout clothes. Bring training shoes or spikes for workouts. Athletes are requited to correctly and consistently wear a mask that completely covers the nose and mouth.

Instruction will be from Monmouth College track coach Roger Haynes and other successful former athletes and coaches from Monmouth College. While at Monmouth, Haynes has trained and coached 12 individual national champions and has been named Midwest Conference Coach of the Year an amazing 26 times. In 2007, he was named the NCAA Division III Men’s National Coach of the Year.
