OSF HealthCare is partnering with Monmouth College to open a new student health center on the college campus starting Monday, August 23rd. Lisa DeKezel, President of OSF Holy Family and St. Mary’s Medical Centers, says the college did not presently offer onsite health services:
“They currently typically utilize the Rural Health Clinic here on the Holy Family campus and our Prompt Care in Galesburg. Many students come to campus, however, we recognize without a vehicle or transportation. They really have to rely on other students and so we really came together as a collaborative discussion with Monmouth College on how to best meet the needs of the students in the community. They are community members and we are here to serve all members of our community and so really reaching out to understand how we can best serve them. We are very, very pleased to be collaborating with Monmouth College to support their new student health center starting in August.”
Advanced Practice Provider Kari Bruening will be at the health center serving students five days a week on the Monmouth College campus.
