The best chance for severe weather is this evening into tonight

Key Messages
➔ Round 1: Decaying MCS moving through the area this morning may pose an
isolated severe threat, with wind and hail being main threat
➔ Round 2: Scattered-Numerous severe storms are possible this afternoon into
tonight. The storms could develop as early as the mid-afternoon, but the most
likely window is between 3PM through Tonight. Strong wind gusts, large hail,
isolated tornadoes, and torrential downpours (localized flash flooding) are the
main threats.
➔ Outdoor activities will be impacted. Have a plan to get to shelter quickly and have
several ways to get weather information.

flooding has increased for
our far southern counties.
➔ Areas that are impacted by
multiple rounds of heavy
rain today/tomorrow could
be vulnerable to flash
flooding

Timing
Round 1: Through the morning (isolated severe)
Round 2: 3 PM through Tonight (Larger coverage; best chance for severe weather with this round)
