Sharon Kay (Hunt) Brady Lonas, 78 of Abingdon, passed away at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

  She was born May 23, 1943 in Galesburg, the daughter of Carl “Eldon” and Edith L. (Guiter) Hunt. 

  She married Donald H. Brady on December 17, 1960 in Abingdon and together they had five children, Sheri (Brian) Addis of Avon, Teri (Rev. Jason) Donaldson of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Jerry D. Brady (deceased), Tammy (John) Keller of Abingdon and Jim (Donna) Brady of Henderson.  Sharon is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Rev. Danny (Connie) Hunt of rural Galesburg and one sister, Debbie (Tom) Keith of Abingdon.

  Sharon and Donald enjoyed 32 years together until Donald’s passing on February 12, 1993.

  On January 24 1998, she married Rev. Thomas D. Lonas.  With that marriage, she was blessed with four bonus daughters, Dorraine Hudson, Donna Moeller, Tina White and Tomi Ostendorff and their families.  Tom preceded her in death on January 4, 2008.

  She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her stepfather, Harry Tinkham.

  Sharon loved life and lived it to the fullest.  She enjoyed serving the Lord and modeled her faith for her family and friends.  She enjoyed being a part of her church, New Life Tabernacle in Abingdon. 

  She also enjoyed music, ice cream, thrift shops and yard sales.  She had a unique clock collection of more than 200 pieces.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and she treasured her grandchildren.  One of her greatest pleasures was listening to her children and grandchildren sing and play music.

  Funeral service will be held at noon, Friday, June 18, 2021, at New Life Tabernacle, 516 S. Commercial Dr. in Abingdon.  Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the church.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

  Memorials may be made to New Life Tabernacle.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
