Thomas S. Parrish, 73, Monmouth, IL died at home on Saturday, June 26, 2021 with his family at his side.  He was born March 15, 1948 to Gale and Joyce (White) Parrish of rural Monmouth, IL.  He graduated from Warren High School in 1966 and Indiana Central College in 1970.  He taught Business in Rushville, Indiana before being drafted into the Army.  He served as a pay specialist at Fort Hood, Texas until he was honorably discharged in 1973.

Tom married Marcia Sullivan on September 2, 1972 and she survives. 

Tom farmed with his father after serving in the Army.  Tom and Marcia bought their own farm near Cameron in 1977.  Eventually, Tom also farmed both the Parrish and Sullivan family farms before retiring from farming in 2008. Later in his career he became a farm loan officer at Community National Bank until his retirement in 2010.

Tom loved his family and friends, golf, and driving his convertible. He was a collector of baseball cards, coins and Sleepy Eye Pottery. 

He was the proud father of four children: David Parrish, Erin Parrish, Jennifer  Ohashi and Rob Parrish.  He was the loving grandpa to Dalton Parrish, Sophia Ohashi and Peyton Ohashi. 

His survivors include daughter Jennifer (Robert) Ohashi of Winfield, IL. and son Rob Parrish of Knoxville, IL, his grandchildren and his sisters:  Beth (Brad) VanAmberg of Wilmington NC, Mary (Mike) Bingham of Katy, TX, Julie (Randy) Wright of Cardiff by the Sea, CA and brothers Peter (Jill Foss) Parrish of Reno, NV, Mark (Carol) Parrish of Monmouth, IL and Richard Parrish of Springfield, IL.  Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Judith, and by his son David Parrish and daughter Erin Parrish.

Memorial Services will be 10:30 am, Thursday, July 1, 2021 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Cremation has been accorded.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.  Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 am Thursday morning at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Michael J.
