Farm Bureau Seeks Input on Water Quality Strategy at Aug. 10 meeting

Share

The Illinois Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy guides state efforts to improve water quality at home and downstream by reducing nitrogen and phosphorus levels in our lakes, streams, and rivers.

On Tuesday, August 10, the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau will host a meeting at its Monmouth office to gather feedback from area farmers and stakeholders on the strategy, as well as to discuss the Mississippi North Central Watershed.

“We want to hear feedback on conservation practices, what farmers and landowners would like to see, what could work, and how those logistics would work,” Farm Bureau Manager Gina Long said.

The meeting is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. at the Farm Bureau office, 1000 N. Main St., in Monmouth. A lunch will be provided.
