OSF HealthCare, in conjunction with Monmouth College, is pleased to add a new Student Health Clinic to the campus of Monmouth College.

The clinic will be located at 700 E Broadway next to the bookstore on the campus of the residential liberal arts college. Some of the health services include: acute symptoms, point-of-care testing, behavioral health, chronic disease management, physicals and vaccinations.

Kari Bruening, APRN, will be the provider at the clinic. Kari received her Master of Nursing from Illinois State University. She has worked as a nurse practitioner for 13 years and four years as a registered nurse in the emergency department prior to obtaining her nurse practitioner license. Her clinical areas of interest include urgent care and office procedures.

“I’m really excited to work with the students at Monmouth College,” said Kari. “College is an exciting, but definitely hectic time of life, and getting sick or having a medical need arise during this time can be stressful. I’m truly honored to have the opportunity to help students when they need medical attention away from home, and to work together to promote a healthy campus.”

Kari’s hobbies include spending time with her husband, Jared, and their three children: Owen, Eli and Hazel. She also enjoys spending time with friends, being involved with her church, traveling and cooking.

The hours of the clinic will be Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
