The Buchanan Center of the Arts is hosting an online auction until August 3rd for several local artists. BCA Executive Director Kristyne Gilbert comments further regarding how you can participate and bid on the paintings:

“We had a Plain Air Auction a couple of weeks ago as part of our Make It Monmouth partnership. We had four artists create of their view of the square downtown and we are auctioning those paintings off. You can get online at our Facebook page and bid on the artwork that was created. You just want to submit your bid under the discussion tab, and, if you have any questions, you can just call us at the art center at 734-3033.”

Artists include Roy Poneage, whose auction ended on Tuesday, July 20th, Kendall Thompson, and Gelaine (JEL-AIN) Vestal, whose auctions end July 27th and August 3rd respectively. Virtual tours will be offered on Facebook. All proceeds will fund educational programs at the BCA.
