New temporary exhibits are in place at the Warren County Historical Museum and are ready for visitors, says Event Planner Will Best:
“Right now we’ve got the ‘Open the Vault’ exhibition, which is our temporary exhibition upstairs on the second floor on the west side of the building. It features artifacts that we don’t get the chances to display on the museum floor for certain exhibitions, and it also gives you a bit of the behind the scenes of our work as conservationists and museum managers. We also have a temporary exhibition on local sports in the area. It features a lot from the high school Zippers, our professional baseball team that we used to have, and also our local billiards king, Ralph Greenleaf.”
In the future, the Warren County Museum is planning a collaborative effort with the Stone Museum on Sunny Lane to host a shared exhibition and luncheon on Western Stoneware Pottery. The museum is open from Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with no appointments necessary. Want the museum to host your event?
