Chicago Youth Wins Hog Calling Contest

Share

The winner of this year’s Illinois State Fair hog calling contest is a Chicago youth. The contest was Sunday afternoon at the State Fair Coliseum. The winning call was from 16 year old Louise Buckingham.

“I started back in 2017, 2018. A friend showed me a video of the 2010 hog calling competition, very iconic. Then we would just goof off and I started practicing and I actually didn’t tell him I did this, so I am going to have to tell him. So I actually entered this year, last minute entry as well, and you know how things turned out.”

She wins $350. There was no husband calling contest this year because there weren’t any entries.
