On August 15th, 2021 at approximately 5:52a.m. Henderson County Deputies responded to US34 at 1900E (the east end of the Biggsville bypass) for a report of a single vehicle rollover accident with a person who had been ejected. When Deputies arrived on scene they discovered a passenger vehicle laying on its side in the ditch. It appeared that the vehicle, a 2003 Nissan Xterra, driven by 31 year old Jacqueline Seals of Burlington, IA was traveling westbound on US34 where the 2 lane highway changes into 4 lanes. Seals did not navigate the lane changes and continued traveling into the eastbound lanes. Seals over corrected the vehicle causing it to skid out of control and roll several times. Seals was ejected from the vehicle approximately 150 feet away. Also injured in the crash were passengers Trenell Adams, age 27 of Chicago, IL and male juvenile. Adams and the juvenile were transported to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center by the Biggsville Ambulance Service and the Burlington Fire Department. Seals was air lifted from the scene by MedForce. Also assisting the Deputies were the Biggsville Fire Department, Henderson County Dispatch, and Berg’s Towing. The crash is still being investigated.
