Heyworth School District Revises Masking Policy – Masks Now Required

Share

(Heyworth, IL)  —  The Heyworth Community School District Number Four is reversing its policy on masking at school.  The district voted last night to require masks for all students and staff.  District officials had originally said they would be defying a state order requiring masks inside schools, but reversed the approach last night.  Officials said it would be too risky to go against Governor J.B. Pritzker’s mandate.  The Illinois State Board of Education has threatened districts that don’t comply with loss of recognition.
