IHSA Fall Sports Schedule Gets Underway

After a modified calendar last school year, a traditional IHSA schedule returns this year. The new season began on Monday with the first official day of fall practices. The West Central Heat football team had an outstanding season in their first year of 8-man football. The Heat went 5-0 in the shortened season, ending with a top-two state ranking. West Central Principal and head football coach and Jason Kirby says he’s excited about his upcoming season, but more happy that the school year will be “somewhat” normal.

Besides football, cross country, golf, girls volleyball and swimming and diving and boys soccer also began practices around the state on Monday.
