Community Hygiene Pantry is excited to announce a new partnership with Jamieson Community Center.
With a mission to provide hygiene supplies necessary for a healthy body and mind to those in need, CHP’s
founder, Deanna Trout, had a goal to expand the new non-profit’s reach. Jamieson Community Center
seemed like a logical partner in Warren County. With a well-established food pantry, JCC was looking for a
consistent supply of cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, deodorant, and toothbrushes to complement
the soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, diapers, period supplies and incontinence products currently
offered. CHP agreed to fill the gap.
Hygiene items are important for physical and mental well-being and cannot be purchased with a Link card.
Executive Director Nancy Mowen says the partnership is a win, win for area families. When people are
struggling, they appreciate being able to make one stop. In addition to a healthy, balanced selection of
food, families now will have access to a wide array of hygiene items, thanks to CHP and and an existing
partnership with Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank. Food is available to households with children can visit JCC
once each week and households with no children can visit twice each month. Hygiene items are limited to
once per month, and toothbrushes are distributed every six months. Jamieson Community Center is
located at 1025 S. 2nd Street in Monmouth. Pantry hours are 10 AM—2PM Monday through Thursday.
