Larry “Bear”  R. Gearhart, 74 of Raritan passed away Monday August 9th, 2021, at 4:25a.m. at Oak Lane Nursing Home in Stronghurst. He was born on August 15th, 1946, in Monmouth Il, the son of Wayne and Evelyn (Ray) Gearhart. He married Linda (Barber) on September 7th 1968.

He is survived by his wife Linda “Margaret” Gearhart of Raritan, Chad Jeremy Gearhart of Dallas Texas, Breanne Gearhart of Kansas City, MO, two Brothers Jerry (Janet) Gearhart of Raritan, Tom (Cheryl) Gearhart of Raritan.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Larry was known for farming since 1977, he farmed at Duncan Farms, and he also farmed with his dad on the family farm. He also worked at Hopson’s Sales and Services. He served as a trustee for The Raritan Fire District. He was also a member of the Raritan Baptist Church. He enjoyed to drag race his ’67 Chevelle.

A private graveside will be held. Friends will be able to call on Thursday August 12th 2021, from 1:00-6:00p.m  the family will not be present during these hours. Memorials may be made to the Raritan Fire District. Online condolences may be made at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com Wise Family Funeral Home in Roseville is in charge of arrangements.
