New Reading Program Added to Lincoln School Curriculum

Principal Joe Pilger and his staff at Lincoln Elementary School in Monmouth have been busy preparing for this week’s start of the new school year.

Pilger is looking forward to the rollout of a new program for his students called “From Phonics to Reading.”

“We’ve purchased this new program to strengthen our foundation to help kids learn to read,” Pilger said. “We are excited because it is a K-3 program with solid instruction.”

The first day of school for Lincoln students is Friday, August 20. Backpack night is scheduled for Thursday, August 19.
