Patricia Ann Arnold, 90, of Galesburg, died peacefully Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born June 16, 1931 in Williamsfield, the daughter of Everett Walker and Ruth Irene (Maher) Tucker. She graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1949. She married Harold James Arnold, Sr. on December 29, 1951 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death one day after their 51st anniversary on December 30, 2002. Patricia is survived by four daughters, Matilda “Tillie” (Robert) Jacobs of Galesburg, Helen (Les) Friend of Galesburg, Elizabeth (Pranab) Chanda of Normal, and Pamela (Richard) Sage, Jr. of Galesburg; three sons, Harold J. (the late, Jean Anne) Arnold, Jr. of Galesburg, George (Amy) Arnold of Galesburg, and Thomas (Trang Thu Thi Nguyen) Arnold of Davenport, IA; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Patricia is also survived by one brother, Donald (Virginia) Tucker of Galesburg; one sister, Joan Osborn of Macomb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patricia spent many years enjoying being a homemaker and mother to her children. She later worked at St. Mary’s Square Living Center for over 10 years. Patricia could be best described as a homebody who loved having her family over for cookouts and dinner. She was famous for her potato salad which she brought to all family gatherings. Patricia enjoyed going on day trips, but most of all she loved to be with her great grandchildren. Patricia was of the catholic faith.

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Pastor Anthony DiTora will officiate. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
